About the club

The club's main objective is to maintain an environment and atmosphere where all model flying disciplines are enjoyed by all members in a sociable, fun, enjoyable, and relaxing manner, while also adopting a responsible attitude towards safety. We actively encourage and support new members, both young and not-so-young, in their pursuit of the hobby, assisting them as they learn the skills of model RC flying and helping them progress through the BMFA - A, B, and occasionally the C achievement certification scheme.

We fly radio-controlled model (IC & electric) fixed-wing aeroplanes and gliders seven days a week, subject to minor restrictions to ensure the comfort of our neighbours!

During the winter months when flying outdoors is heavily dependent on weather conditions, we offer indoor flying for small and very small aircraft, which helps to keep members connected whilst maintaining their flying skills. The Club has a very active WhatsApp group that enables members to keep in touch, access information about any subject flying related.

The club also actively meets other clubs for social flying sessions, both outside and in. It also arranges visits to many of the RC flying events such as Weston Park that are held around the country, plus visits to places such as IWM Duxford, Brooklands etc

We are able to use the flying site between the following times.
